Solutions for Mastering Studios

If you are creating masters for music, video, or software, Here’s a way you can improve profitability and reduce costly problems.

The main issue in making master discs is that you want to be sure that the disc can be replicated or duplicated.  Serious errors will cause the glass mastering machine to abort and you will get to start over.  By testing your masters beforehand, you can have confidence that they can be replicated.

You can also use this capability to develop the capability to make the best quality masters:

Evaluate and qualify DVD/CD media. Find out which type of media works best with your writers.

Identify burners that are failing or about to fail.

Discover if the problem is the media or the writer.

Make sure the masters are good.

Find the writing speed that produces the best results.

Remember:

Data comparison does not measure disc quality (more...).

Just because you can read it doesn’t mean it’s good.

Poor disc quality can cause unreliable operation and short lifetime.
